The first truckloads of REG-9000/RHD produced at the 75-million gallon nameplate biorefinery since REG acquired full ownership in June (earlier post) left the plant on 23 October. The advanced biofuel from REG Geismar, located south of Baton Rouge, meets or exceeds ASTM D975 specifications.

The Geismar biorefinery can utilize a wide variety of lower cost feedstocks to manufacture approximately 75 million gallons of high quality renewable diesel and renewable naphtha. REG is focused on developing novel renewable diesel and Fischer-Tropsch gas-to-liquid (GTL) technologies for the production of renewable and synthetic alternatives to petroleum based fuels, chemicals and other products.
