Ben Peters is the Director of Solar Finance Policy at REC Solar, providing strategic guidance on the residential, commercial, and utility sector. Ben is responsible for managing the economic analysis group and creating effective strategies to develop projects based on relevant regulatory and policy changes.

This includes specific rate tariff modification proposals, new incentive programs, integration of storage technology, and market specific bill credit mechanisms. In addition he manages the relationships with our financial partners, and for aligning financing options with customer goals and market needs. His expertise in structuring transactions, anticipating policy and regulatory change, and providing sound reporting that increases customer satisfaction and savings. Ben teaches classes on solar finance and policy matters, and is an expert on system economics. Ben has worked at REC Solar for 7 years and helped celebrate the company’s recent 15 year anniversary.
